Rather than make the people adapt to fit the environment, we have adapted the environment to fit the people living with neuro and/or physio diversity. Our service is projected on a screen at the front of the worship area. All reading, responses, and songs are projected. We try to include visual ways to get the message to everyone, also. This may include story sticks, chalk art, items, balloons, or whatever seems to be a visual tool to help understand God’s message for us. Please let us know if there are specific ways we can help your family member more fully experience the love of God in our worship service
One of the main reasons this service exists is to provide a relaxed atmosphere for everyone to worship. Vocalizations or disruptions are simply considered part of making a joyful noise. However, if your family member becomes upset we have a “calm space” where they can relax until they want to return to the service.
Our worship service is relaxed. In the spirit of welcoming everyone, just be who you are. Some families enjoy the tradition of wearing “Sunday Best” and others prefer to enjoy the experience wearing shorts or jeans and a t-shirt. Our music and messages are easy to follow along while containing several layers of meaning.
Having a big sale, on-site celebrity, or other event? Be sure to announce it so everybody knows and gets excited about it.
